Horrible Quality and Horrible Customer Service
This company is the worst I have ever done business with. From the lies of shipping dates to damaged shipments to cheap material sent from China, re-wrapped "custom" seats, off center drilled holes that do not match the brackets, missing parts and hardware...
Too many details to display, however, Rachel is a fraud. She deleted portions of emails and information when submitting a dispute for charge back. We have retained a lawyer and will spend far more than the cost of the stools, but it is the principal alone that we are after.
This company should not be in business and Rachel should be fired! Absolutely appalled at the lies and fraud they have committed.

Ripped my off over $6000 Stay away.
I purchased over 300 folding bamboo chairs from this company in may of 2010. By the end of summer they were snapping like toothpicks.
I called in early November and the run around began. I was told to take pictures, which I did and sent in. I left several messages through January of 2011. Finally Rachel called me back to inform me that she was trying to contact the warehouse.
She finally called back and said they needed more pictures. I left several more messages through the next couple months without any response.
Rachel called back on 3/24/11 to tell me she had no information from their supplier and they were suppose to call me. 4/14/11 Kerwin calls me from BC Furniture to inform me they have never had any problems with these chairs.
(note that they do not offer these chairs any more.) Rachel is now out of office until 4/27/14. 4/28/11 spoke with Kerwin from BC Furniture and he told me his supervisor would replace the chairs. 5/2/11 Rachel called and said they would replace the chairs. 6/8/11 called and left message for Rachel.
6/29/11 spoke with Shoshana Katz. She said they would be giving me a full refund, would call the following week with details. 7/12/11 Shoshana called to say they would be picking up chairs and then I would get a full refund on my credit card. 7/28/11 chairs picked up by carrier.
8/18/11 I called Shoshana to find out what was going on. She informed me she was having trouble with here supplier. 8/25/11 conference call with Kerwin and Shoshana. Kerwin informed me that I must have abused the chairs and he would not refund my money.
(my customers sit on chairs as they are intended) I informed Shoshana that I did purchased the chairs from her company and not BC Furniture and they should take care of the problem.
I now have no chairs and I am out $6000. Stay very far away from seatingexperts.com and BC Furniture if you value your hard earned money.

Took $1000 deposit and could not deliver furniture
My husband and I recently opened a new restaurant in Garner, NC. This is the 3rd restaurant we have opened and have used Seating Expert in the past on the other 2 locations.
When we started the process we clearly stated that we were opening on June 2nd. We were promised we would have the furniture delivered by that date and when asked for a $1000 deposit we sent it in immediately. After that we were told that the furniture would not be able to be delivered until June 9th. Frantically my husband and I raced around to find furniture that could be delivered by opening day.
We found an option by a local vendor and went that route- we were not going to open without furniture! I contacted Seating Expert and was told that we would be charged a restocking fee since someone had pulled the furniture already. I told them I had not paid in full for the furniture so if someone pulled it on their end, that is their fault, not mine. Since then I have been contacting various managers and they are refusing to give me my $1000 back.
There was nothing in writing about restocking fees and how do I even know if someone really did pull the furniture? We told them they will lose our future business over a $600 restocking fee and they simply do not care.
Way to support small business owners Seating Expert. We hope our money you did not earn or deserve is worth your reputation.
Fake Description
We spent over $5,000 on tables, booths, & chairs. The delivery was late. And some tables were missing. Describing the merchandise on eBay it claims that it is new. When we revived it, it was all scratched up. They agreed to replace it, but it turns out to be the same scratched old tables & booths. Because of that we had a delay on our restaurant grand opening. Customers were disgusted from the way the tables & booths looked.

Table Tops
Ordered 40 table tops from seatingexpert.com. Our restaurant wasn't open and we weren't sitting there every day so we asked to be called when the table tops would be delivered.
The company they hired to delivered drop shipped them without calling us, even though our number and "Call first" was written all over the boxes. Needless to say we couldn't check them and a good 80% of the table tops are chipped. When I called seatingexpert.com the woman told me that there was no way they came from their factory chipped. I told her the boxes were in good shape and all the table tops were wrapped in bubble wrap.
Her answer? "Resin tables are fragile". I have been to many restaurants with resin table tops and none look like these. Does she think that tables never get pushed together?
Anyway, be warned. This company DOES NOT stand behind their product. The underside of the tables and the way they were packaged were not consistant. I believe they may get them from some other source and have no idea about the condition of the items they're selling.
Regardless, they DO NOT stand behind their product.

DO NOT order from www.seatingexperts.com… I dealt with connie- as many others I see have. ZERO customer service.
Attempts to make you feel foolish with any questions you may have. Told me not to leave her a voicemail because "I wont listen to it"… does not reply to email…. Told me she placed my order- I called back 3 days later because I had not received a confirmation email & she said it was my fault because I never confirmed the order myself??? I gave her the card # and everything.
She is absolutely beyond rude and you will not get your product ordered.
I am still waiting for a confirmation email 3 weeks later. Then she tells me that when it does get shipped to me… even if it looks damaged or the wrong product to SIGN for it anyways…Hmmmm sounds pretty fishy ehhh????
Total run around from Seating Experts
We ordered chairs & booths for our deli/restaurant from Seating Experts. The booths arrived but the 9 chairs were missing.
When we called Seating Experts they said they would put in a claim with trucking company. Trucking company said they found chairs a few days later. However, after almost 3 months I still don't have the chairs. Seating Experts blames the trucking company but they are the ones who took my money.
Now I am having trouble even getting in touch with them - they have been closing for a few days-not answering the phone, emails returned undeliverable, etc. At this point I trying to recoup the money from my bank.
SeatingExpert.com--Horrible Customer Service
I am starting a bakery and have been shopping around online for a couple of seats and tables. I had found these beautiful seats on seatingexpert.com.
When I called to inquire if I could get some fabric samples, a lady answered the phone rather rudely and said "Can I help you?". She did not identify herself or the company. I was actually a little thrown off because I wasn't sure if I had even got the right number. I stated that I was interested in purchasing chairs but that I wanted some fabric samples.
She asked me if I had gotten a quote and I explained that I hadn't. She explained rather curtly that I needed to have a quote and that she would give me one. I said "OK". When she asked how many seats I would need, I said "6".
Her response in the most rude voice possible was "You have to have a $1,000 minimum order. Is this EVEN a business?! Or is it residential!?" I said that it was a business and SHE. HUNG.
UP. ON. ME. How is it that a supplier can make a person feel bad to the point where they feel guilty that they cannot make a $1000 minimum order?
Well seatingexpert.com: the jokes on you because I plan on doing a massive, potentially $1000 minimum order, when I purchase my outdoor seating in the spring. Guess who I'm NOT going to!
Will never use Seating Experts again.
We ordered bistro tables from Seating Experts. When received, they were missing the bases, which rendered them useless.
We called the company. They were rude, completely unhelpful and essentially told us it was our problem. They made no effort to contact the shipping company or assist us in any way. We eventually had to purchase bases again.
Perhaps this is how Seating Experts boosts profits. They certainly can't be depending on repeat business with their shoddy level of customer service.
There are many good companies out there.
Sadly, Seating Experts is not one of them. We will never, ever, call them again.
Seating Expert - Cheap Products, Awful Service
Bought 130 chairs for my new Mexican place in Chicago - when the truck arrived the chairs were so messed up that I wanted to refuse the all thing. I called and spoke with Bonnie - she instructed me to accept the chairs and that she will help me replace them later on.
Ohhh, what a mistake - I started unpacking and noticed half of them were so scratched up, like USED furniture.
I spent $10,000 with them and they are NOT willing to replace the chairs. I already contacted American Express and told them not to pay anything before they make this right.
Don't buy from them.
Seating Expert ripped me off!
I ordered 31 stools and 12 chairs to my new coffee shop. Dealt with Connie and everything was good during the sale process. When I received the shipment I noticed they shipped me the wrong product. Needless to say, I called them right on the spot.
I have been waiting for 3 weeks now for someone to call me back. Yesterday I got an email saying that there is nothing they can do to help me. This is unheard of! They shipped the wrong product and unwilling to rectify the situation. I have their shipment still packed and did not use it since.
I already called my bank and cancelled the transactions. They are AWFUL! DO NOT USE THEM!

After posting this review Seating Expert has agreed to give us our $1000 deposit as a credit for future use of furniture. I am glad to say that they made the right decision and we are going to order patio furniture for our outdoor dining area.
